Welcome to The SoSaf Club: Where safety creates the scene
Nightlife is, at its core, about freedom. It is the freedom to lose oneself in the music, to express identity without judgment, and to connect with others in the heat of the moment. But as many of us know, that freedom is often fragile. Harassment, exclusion, and unsafe environments shouldn't be the "price of entry" for a night out.
For too long, the industry has relied on "Security"; often a reactive, aggressive presence designed to remove problems after they’ve already disrupted the vibe.
The SoSaf Club is doing something different.

We don't believe in security in the traditional sense. We believe in Social Safety.
Social Safety is a proactive, collective responsibility. It’s the idea that every dancer, DJ, and door host is part of a care network. It’s about building an environment where the "vibe" isn't just protected by a uniform at the door, but nurtured by the culture inside.
What The SoSaf Club does
The SoSaf Club exists to make social safety more visible, practical, and connected within nightlife.
Our lineup:

We share accessible tools that help people navigate real situations: how to intervene without escalating, how to notice subtle harm, how to support someone in distress, how to respect boundaries, how to ask for help, and how to create safer dancefloor habits.
Resources and harm reduction tools
Safety is not only about behaviour. It is also about information, preparation, and care. We highlight harm reduction tools, support networks, and practical resources that help people make safer choices in nightlife settings.
Content for awareness and safety teams
Awareness work can be beautiful, but it can also be emotionally demanding and structurally under-supported. We want to create content that helps safety teams connect, grow, learn, and support the scene without burning out.
News and updates from the scene
Nightlife safety is evolving. We want to amplify the people, venues, collectives, and initiatives already doing the work — because this movement is bigger than one account, one team, or one club.
Consulting, protocols, and on-the-ground support
For venues and organisers, social safety needs structure. That can include policy support, venue safety thinking, awareness team development, incident response protocols, and practical ways to build layers of care into an event.

You just need to be willing to learn, notice, listen, and act with care.

We are here to empower the scene, not police it. Subscribe to our newsletter to get our upcoming deep-dives on bystander intervention, venue safety audits, and how we can all work together to keep the scene thriving.
